UPDATE - 39 more pages!
UPDATE 2 - 29 more pages. The pace has slowed a bit as I'm also working on a commission for VampYou and I don't want to run out of pages too quick :) Today's update we return to see what Mary is up to. Does she get away from the security guard and have a lovely time? No, but she might be going through some changes!
UPDATE 3: 20 more pages, and we'll need some new character tags for this one.

ReplyDeleteBut I must say that pages in darkness are really too dark, for example we can barely see Marie's face in the darkness of the cell.
We're 133 pages in and not a single fully corrupted person. I get the need for the story but the constant scene change and lack of transformation kinda defeats the purpose of a corruption comic. Are we going to see

Your commissions are good short stories which i personally enjoy alot but the huge ones seems out of proportion.
I get your point, but it's a balancing act between the long stories which I enjoy making as I can live with the characters for a while and really get to know them and the quick once and you're done 50 pagers that I do for VampYou. I think overall everyone gets a little something.
DeleteIn the end, it's my opinion that the transformations have more impact if we've spent time with the characters first, but I understand where you're coming from as I'm further ahead in the story than you are, so I know what's coming :)
I agree it's a balancing act. Some stories just go on forever with no progress while others are often too brief. It's nice to see big changes with characters every release and you are updating at a good pace.

ReplyDeleteI can't imaging what's rolling around in Rogue's head right now, she will do as Joker say but her mind free to think as she wish.
Rogue can absorb the powers, energies, memories, knowledge, talents, personality and physical abilities through physical contact of her skin with the skin of the other person, and now Joker have her. I wonder if Rogue could give Joker some more interesting abilities from now on.
Just wanted to drop a line and say that I've been a fan of yours for a long time. While some may feel that corruption or whatnot is taking too long, I think it's great and really builds intimacy with the characters. In terms of you Cantraps, I love your subtleties in the story, such as on page 101 you have Joker laughing inside Rogues head and then on page 103, Rogue ends up using that same laugh after she talks in her standard vernacular (i.e. her signature "Sugah") showing the subtle but apparent influence the Joker is having on her. So tastefully done! Also... the smug facial expression on 103 and the close up on the eyes.... PERFECT!

ReplyDeleteI think the pace in this comic is really good. You are really giving attention to the background story of the characters. I hope to see some real changes soon, but I completely understand the pace of the story. Keep up the good work!
You're definitely one of the bests. I love what you do and can't way to see the next chapter when tey'll be ready!
