Progress!!!

So Daz3D is working again! I mean, it was working anyway but my new GPU is finally compatible with iRay! What does this mean? It means renders are speedy again which makes it so much easier to work on the comic!

For example, this took just over 3 minutes to render:

Don't worry, Wonder Woman isn't going to show up in Fangs, just messing around to test stuff out.

The voting was inconclusive, but the comic continues and what do we have? Well, I won't spoil anything but there are some old characters who return, and Melinda's journey to wherever she is going continues, with some bumps along the way as usual.

Just 104 pages this time, a nice compromise between length and getting it out there.

Weekend update

So the results are in! Short or long chapters - I still don't know, it's basically 50:50. Still, at least it sparked some healthy debate.

I'm going to try and do more regular progress updates but since I don't have a defined end for the chapter, more like it's done when it seems right, I won't have a progress bar. As usual life is busy so progress hasn't been fast but I'm up to 187 renders which is around 100 pages(ish, can't be bothered to count!).

As ever, here's a little tease!

It's voting time!

In the world of 3D online comic there seems to be a couple of release patterns. Huge chapters released rather infrequently, such as G9 and H3N. The alternative is short chapters every month or so, like the paid stuff over at MCComix.

Well, maybe not all. Here's a quick preview from Fangs Chapter 3...

Many universes exist side by side. In some only good things happen, in some evil wins the day. In some Kit finds a way around her immunity to the curse (gift) of corruption. In some universes technology takes over, co-opting our bodies for it's own nefarious ends. In some universes hellspawn roam the earth, seducing and corrupting all before them.

Which universe are we in? Who knows, maybe one of these, maybe none!

Fangs - Part 2

So here it is! Who is this mysterious woman gracing the cover of Fang Part 2? Maybe the beter question is what is she?

The second part of Fangs is here. New characters, the return of some old favourites. Corruptions, vampings, mind control and possession, it's all here! This is a shorter chapter as it came to a natural point (I guess you'd call it a cliffhanger). It will be pretty obvious from the conclusion that part two is not the final part. Who knows how many part this thing will have. I'll keep writing as long as I'm still enjoying it and there is a story to tell, although I may take a note from Shinra's book and work on some side projects too. Nothing to the scale of this but maybe some 10-20 page short stories. I already have a few DC superheroes modelled who are begging for a story so that might come too.

Anyway enough rambling. Here's the comic!
