Progress!!!

So Daz3D is working again! I mean, it was working anyway but my new GPU is finally compatible with iRay! What does this mean? It means renders are speedy again which makes it so much easier to work on the comic!

For example, this took just over 3 minutes to render:

The voting was inconclusive, but the comic continues and what do we have? Well, I won't spoil anything but there are some old characters who return, and Melinda's journey to wherever she is going continues, with some bumps along the way as usual.

Just 104 pages this time, a nice compromise between length and getting it out there.

Weekend update

So the results are in! Short or long chapters - I still don't know, it's basically 50:50. Still, at least it sparked some healthy debate.

I'm going to try and do more regular progress updates but since I don't have a defined end for the chapter, more like it's done when it seems right, I won't have a progress bar. As usual life is busy so progress hasn't been fast but I'm up to 187 renders which is around 100 pages(ish, can't be bothered to count!).

As ever, here's a little tease!

In the world of 3D online comic there seems to be a couple of release patterns. Huge chapters released rather infrequently, such as G9 and H3N. The alternative is short chapters every month or so, like the paid stuff over at MCComix.
